Listen: Grimes Teams Up With Membrain For New Project

Claire Boucher aka. Grimes features on a project by Tim Lafontaine of Cop Car Bonfire. The team-up collaboration is called Membrain. Claire gives most of the credit to Lafontaine, who she calls the ‘genius’ behind the project.

In amongst all the pitch skews and warped effects you can just about make out Grimes’ signature, squeaky vocal delivery. There are several tracks to listen to over at Membrain’s soundcloud page.

All of the tracks are repetitive, loop-heavy experimental efforts, drenched with odd effects, on top of a dance-indebted approach.
