Listen: Home School Streams New ‘Scream’ Track
Brighton’s Jack Kaye stands out with a Real Estate-nodding new track.

Just recently, Art Is Hard Records brought out a postcard slash single from Brighton resident Jack Kaye aka Home School.
‘Mellow Neighbour’ was a cosy introduction, with a determined grit being enveloped in some sleepy chords and some not-too-subtle self-damning. ‘Scream’ is a cleaner cut, with Kaye recruiting lightly soaring guitars to sit alongside a melody-stuffed approach not too dissimilar to Real Estate. While the latter might run to the heavens with dreamy lyrics about not-doing-all-that-much, Home School is all about the grim realities, expressed in cutting detail.
