Listen: Jamie XX Shares New Untitled Track

It’s not exactly been a quiet few months from super-producer Jamie xx - The xx have only just wrapped up their world tour in South America - but he’s still found time to work on his own material and presumably there’ll be a solo release of some kind in 2014.

A brand new, untitled track has surfaced from Jamie Smith. As part of his ‘Live at Night + Day Berlin’ mix (played during his band’s curated summer one-dayers), this unreleased cut is a sleepy waltz through chopped patterns and strange, flickering synthetics. When it starts off, it sounds like it’s come straight from the heart of the Tokyo. By its end, it’s recruited a barbershop quartet sample and skewed it into something totally unrecognisable.
