graduate Laura Welsh has taken her first steps in what’s set to be a massive year. The London songwriter’s shared a brand new song, ‘Betrayal’, in the form of a dramatic, stirring mix courtesy of Jakwob.

On the basis of this amped-up, energetic cut, the original version is a slice of soothing, emotional balladry. Jakwob’s role is to add nightbus-ready beats and further atmospherics. ‘All the nails in my heart have rusted inside,’ sings Laura in grim detail.
