Listen: Miamigo Unveil Debut Track ‘Opinions’
Brighton duo coat shiny synth-pop in darkness for their debut track.

Slick, smooth-edged synth pop is close to becoming a default setting on a Casio keyboard. There’s so much of it, it’s like drowning in an endless, albeit gorgeous supply of comfy pads and moody vocals.
Saying that, Miamigo look like they’re off on their own strand, shamelessly giving nods to Pet Shop Boys and New Order in their gutsy debut single ‘Opinions’. There’s a definite darkness creeping in to this self-professed ‘dark pop’, but it remains an irresistible, undeniable gem of a debut.
