Listen: Playlounge Preview Debut Album With ‘Waves And Waves And Waves’

South London via Brighton duo playlounge are readying the release of ‘waves and waves and waves’, a track from their ‘pilot’ album.

Formed of Saam Watkins (drums / vocals) and Laurie Foster (guitar), the band’s follow-up to the ‘Thrash Magic’ EP brings together 9 tracks of fizzing, excitable noise-pop. First came ‘zero’, a cymbal-crashing kick in the teeth rinsed in nostalgia and love for rubbish tv shows.

‘waves and waves for waves’ is a more distinct, slightly sombre preview of the LP, eventually lurching into a colossal size by the end of its three minutes running time.
