Listen: Pure X Stream New Track ‘Heaven’

Track from Pure X’s ‘Angel’ preaches to the converted. Listen now.

Texas sunbathers Pure X are leaving their home city just when it starts getting packed up by sunburnt industry types from the UK and elsewhere. As SXSW streams by, the band are instead readying themselves for a US tour beginning at the end of this week, coupled with the release of new album ‘Angel’.

We’ve heard the sleepy, sunken blues of ‘Starlight’. Now’s the turn of ‘Heaven’, which keeps its head up so much it ends up in the very environment its title refers to. ‘Heaven is a feeling,’ runs a honey-dripping vocal line, with the guitar jammers already preaching to the converted. Believe in Pure X, it so proudly insists.
