Listen: Pure X Stream ‘Starlight’ Track
Quick return after ‘Crawling Up The Stairs’ ups the Texas group’s smooth factor.

Texas’ Pure X have made a surprise return, sharing a new ‘Starlight’ track which may or may not be from a new record called ‘Angel’. The clues are there (the song’s tagged ‘Angel’ and it’s on Fat Possum’s Soundcloud, as Ad Hoc notes). Also there’s artwork, so y’know. Regardless of where it’s ending up, it’s a no time wasted return after 2013’s ‘Crawling Up The Stairs’ record.
The song links up to the last LP, as it happens, sleepily sending out a smooth smoky-toned chunk of vibes.
Like a pillow that expands to fit the shape of your body (those do exist, apparently), it’s an unexpected, soothing treat.
