Listen: Radstewart Unveil ‘Garage Faery’ Track

Malkmus-indebted newcomers Radstewart are contributing two tracks to an Art Is Hard Records / Reeks of Effort split 12’ (‘Art Reeks’) that also contains Poledo, Joey Fourr and Pinact. Alongside ‘Prom Song’, the Cardiff band offer up ‘Garage Faery’, which devotes its frustrations to a ‘jazz bar romantic’ and a ‘republic’, barrelling out the words ‘this song is for you!’ in full-bodied sarcasm. The three-minute track plugs ends on a thrashing climax to rival all finales; it’s definitely the harshest we’ve heard the group to date.
