Listen: Rkss Streams New ‘Submerged’ EP
The Berlin producer’s peerless craft gains further momentum with a second EP.

rkss’ remote, industrial electronica sounds easy to replicate to the naked ear. But his pulsating, purposefully tense techno has few peers.
At 21 years old, the Berlin producer stands out by default. Nobody else out there is emerging with sounds as tugging and direct as these and his ‘Submerged’ EP - streaming in full on Soundcloud - only adds to the notion that this guy’s in a sphere of his own.
That’s not to say this style is untouchable. Sure, it takes a hell of a lot to make something as meticulous in approach as this, but rkss is bound to influence plenty an emerging producer, aligning himself with Patten in allowing futurism to sound claustrophobic and somehow, entirely approachable.
The ‘Submerged’ EP is streaming in full here.
