Listen: Saol Álainn Announces Debut 7” Single, Streams ‘Nostroke’

Signed to NYC’s No Recordings (Sivu, Empress Of), Saol Álainn is a newly emerged musician from LA. There’s zero info to go on, apart from the fact that he’s a one-man producer with a serious knack for penning warped pop tracks that push boundaries, pull them back into shape and stamp on them all over again.

Saol’s debut ‘Nostroke’ is a musical backflip of a track. It flirts with convention before showing it the hand. Fans of Vampire Weekend side-project Discovery will be into the song’s glitchy gloss-pop approach, as it romanticises under a bed of squealing electronics.
