Listen: Sophie Jamieson Streams New Single, ‘Stain’

Berkshire songwriter Sophie Jamieson has shared a pitch-black new single, ‘Stain’, due for release on Luv Luv Luv Records, 19th May.

Co-produced with Ben Walker, ‘Stain’ builds on from an EP last year (‘Where’) and moves on from ‘shy solo’ beginnings into something soaringly atmospheric. For the most part, it’s a track defined by lurking acoustics that skitter around the surface. Everything’s given space, ghostly in approach. But every so often the song morphs into a beastly state, where beauty stares into the deep abyss.
