Listen to the brilliantly catchy punk of ‘Wine Flies’ by Brooklyn’s Upper Wilds

There’s hints of Japandroids, No Age and more on the raucous cut from the band’s upcoming ‘Mars’ LP.

Brooklyn’s Upper Wilds, who feature Dan Friel of the now-defunct Parts & Labor, are putting out new album ‘Mars’ next week (19th October) via Thrill Jockey.

The record features Jeff Rosenstock and members of Guided by Voices, and its latest track, ‘Wine Flies’, is a brilliantly instant, thudding rush of blood to the head.

Guitars are distorted to within an inch of their life, vocals are spat out with intent, and the whole thing is built to be bellowed from the depths of a moshpit - it’s intoxicating stuff.

‘Mars’ comes out on 19th October via Thrill Jockey - listen to ‘Wine Flies’ below.
