There’s been lots of rumours of a brand new Vampire Weekend album floating around as of recent, and now the band have gone and performed a brand new track live.

Making a return to the stage for the first time in almost two years, the four-piece performed at Cleveland’s House Of Blues this weekend and, amongst the layers of hits, showcased a new offering, which you can watch below.

The band’s setlist went something like this:

Cousins

Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa
M79
Run
Holiday
California English
A-Punk
Horchata
I Stand Corrected
I Think Ur a Contra
New Song
Diplomat’s Son
Campus
Oxford Comma
Giving Up the Gun
One
Mansard Roof
The Kids Don’t Stand a Chance
Walcott

In terms of their third album, the last we heard the band had ‘80 per cent of the songs’ for their next album, according to frontman Ezra Koenig.

The singer, speaking to The Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser for Spin, explained: ‘We’re working on our album. It’s been a long process. We always try to write and record at the same time. So we’ve always got some ProTools session demo that tends to actually turn into the finished product. I think we have 80 per cent of the songs now.’
