Listen: Warm Brains Streams New Track, ‘Crooked Etymology’

Taken from his new, football scarf-topped EP ‘Happy Accidents’, Rory Attwell’s Warm Brains is seriously pushing boundaries with new track ‘Crooked Etymology’.

Out goes the fuzz-centric approach, in comes some frenzied, clipped acoustics and pensive vocals that link up with that of Alanna McArdle from Joanna Gruesome / Ides.

What begins as a sinister, sharp-cut number soon descends into foggy, overlapping atmospherics. It’s unlike anything Attwell’s put his name to before, and it might just be his best Warm Brains song to date.

Warm Brains is set to play a DIY Presents show at Bournemouth’s Sixty Million Postcards w/ Evans the Death.
