Los Campesinos! release new live album ‘So Close to Heaven (Live at Troxy)’

Just over a year on from the release of their returning album ‘All Hell’, Los Campesinos! have released a special live album, titled ‘So Close To Heaven (Live at Troxy)’.

With the title inspired by a line from their track ‘To Hell in a Handjob’, their new live release is 21 tracks in length and was recorded during their Valentines 2 Night Stand at The Troxy in London back in February. “’So Close to Heaven’ is our way of tying a bow on the incredible last 18 months that have been the ‘All Hell’ era,” the band have said, of the release. “On these versions we’re often accompanied by strings and horns, and always joined by the noise of thousands of people in the room screaming along. Across the two evenings we performed 38 songs, and so solved the impossible puzzle of which to include by using only those that didn’t feature on our 2012 live album ‘A Good Night for a Fistfight (Live at Islington Assembly Hall)’.”

The album is available for listening now through the band’s Bandcamp page, or via their webstore (where fans can also get their hands on a special screenprint), before it’ll be released across streaming platforms from next Wednesday 27th August.
