Luvcat announces Pete Doherty-featuring EP 'Lovebites'; shares slinking new single 'Vampire At The Beach'

Queen of Gothic romance and DIY Class of 2025 alum Luvcat is back with the news that she’ll be dropping a new EP, ‘Lovebites’, on 22nd May via AWAL.

A collection of murder ballads, the project will live in the same vaudevillian world as her 2025 debut LP ‘Vicious Delicious’, and will feature contributions from none other than John Cooper Clarke (who lent his voice to the anniversary edition of ‘He’s My Man’) and Pete Doherty (who sings on unreleased cut ‘Electric Chair’).

First, though, is Luvcat’s latest ditty ‘Vampire At The Beach’ - a hypnotic vignette of a “ghostly looking lover who had this unsettling hold over [her].” Explaining more about the track’s inspiration, she has recalled: “I was almost waiting for him to bite my neck. He truly had me clamped between his teeth.

“We were watching a Fellini film and seeing all these golden bodies dripping with sweat on the silky rocks of an Italian beach. I was just thinking: ‘I can’t imagine being on a summer holiday with you. You’re a vampire.’”
