M83 promises “epic” return with new album, out next year
Anthony Gonzalez is readying a follow-up to ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’.
M83 frontman Anthony Gonzalez has given the first word for his upcoming new album, due out in 2016.
The follow-up to ‘Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’ is being dubbed by Gonzalez as a “very strong album with a lot of eclecticism.”
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he adds: “It’s very epic. There’s a lot of different genres that are not supposed to live together but I tried to make them live together, which is quite challenging. It’s also quite different from the previous albums which is what I’m the most proud of.
“It’s more fun and fresh than my last album,” he says, adding that fans can expect “unexpected” special guests.
M83 have been confirmed for a handful of 2016 festivals, including NOS Alive, Flow Festival and Sweden’s Way Out West.
