Majical Cloudz reveal new ‘Downtown’ video
The Montreal-based duo release ‘Are You Alone?’ later this month.
Montreal-based duo Majical Cloudz have revealed a new video for ‘Downtown’. Its taken from their new album ‘Are You Alone,’ which comes out via Matador on 16th October.
Devon Welsh and Neil Corcoran previously shared their album’s title track, along with ‘Silver Car Crash’. This is Majical Cloudz’s first album since 2013’s ‘Impersonator’.
The video for ‘Downtown’ is a minimal, black and white one, Welsh singing into an unplugged mic in a shadowy room. His band-mate Corcoran sways about in the background tinkering with various musical contraptions, and that’s about it. Lyrics like “he was obsessed and it was okay,” do much of the talking instead.
