Majical Cloudz shares new version of ‘Your Eyes’

Devon Welsh aka Majical Cloudz is giving away a new version of his ‘Your Eyes’ track, which originally appeared on the ‘II’ release back in 2011.

An initial, murky edit has been traded for the pronounced, upfront stature that’s so prominent on the 2013 full-length ‘Impersonator’.

Last month, Majical Cloudz played a run of shows in gigantic North American arenas in support of Lorde. Following the shows, the New Zealand singer tweeted her appreciation, saying “they brought so much truth and feeling to the stage every night.”

‘Your Eyes’ is being given away in part as a follow-up to the shows. Welsh penned a note on his Tumblr alongside the tracks. “A lot of it still feels unreal. We played 20 shows with Lorde. We met an uncountable number of people at the shows and played for even more. We did it all with a crew of 4 people in a minivan. How did this happen?,” he says.

“We were met with positive and warm receptions at all of these shows. We were never booed or heckled (although if we had been I would have understood). I believe this to be a testament to the curiosity and open-mindedness of Lorde’s audiences.”
