Matt Emery Covers DZ Deathrays In The Run Up To DIY Show
Matt has given us a special cover of next week’s headline act.

Matt Emery’s been a busy guy. Not only did he open for Kevin Devine last week, but he’ll be returning to the DIY stage next Wednesday (that’s the 7th March, for anyone who doesn’t have a calendar handy) for our very special show in DZ Deathrays’ Old Blue Last residency.
To celebrate this wonderful occasion, Matt has teamed up with Kevin Watts - who will also be appearing on Wednesday! - to give us a special cover of DZ Deathrays’ ‘The Mess Up’.
Take a listen below!
And as for what’s actually going down on Wednesday night…
We’ll be curating one day of a three-show residency by the quite pant-wettingly brilliant DZ Deathrays at the Old Blue Last on 7th March. One of the bands from our Class of 2012 feature in the last issue of DIY, they’ll be ably assisted by Bos Angeles, Crushed Beaks and the ace Matt Emery and Kevin Watts (playing acoustic covers of popular rock hits including some or more from the popular beat combo, erm, DZ Deathrays). Tickets will set you back a measly £3 and are available to buy here.
Now, go go go! You do not want to miss out!
