Metronomy announced as final Festival No. 6 headliner
Mark Ronson and British Sea Power have also been confirmed for the Portmeirion weekender.
Metronomy have been confirmed as the final headliner for this year’s Festival No. 6.
The band, who released their fourth album ‘Love Letters’ last year, will be joining forces with Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian to close proceedings at this year’s event.
The band’s appearance will also double as - according to band leader Joe Mount - their last show of their current campaign. “After 18 months of touring Love Letters it felt like we needed to find the perfect setting for our final show,” he said, in a press release. “I believe we have found it! We can’t wait to play at Festival No. 6.”
Elsewhere in the newest line-up announcement, BBC Sound of 2015 winners Years & Years have been added, alongside the mighty Mark Ronson, British Sea Power and Haelos.
They join the likes of Young Fathers, Everything Everything, Badly Drawn Boy, Ghostpoet and Shura, who have all been previously confirmed to appear at the 2015 edition of the weekender.
Speaking of the latest slew of additions to the bill, festival director Luke Huxham has said: “Metronomy strike a great balance with Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian, it’s the perfect blend of genres and musical textures and more importantly it’s going to make for a fantastic party vibe every single day of the festival.
“We’re incredibly proud of the line-up this year, one of our best and most diverse musical bills to date with so much more still to be announced across the site.”
This year’s Festival No. 6 takes place in Portmeirion, Wales from 3rd to 6th September. Tickets are available now.
