Metronomy play secret Glastonbury set

The band took to the William’s Green stage last night.

While Kaiser Chiefs are to take to the Other Stage in mere minutes to kick off their “surprise” opening set, Metronomy managed to keep theirs a little more, well, secret.

The dance-pop titans are due to be headlining the Park Stage tonight - but made the announcement that they were to play the festival’s William’s Green stage imminently on Twitter yesterday evening, while donning some fetching grey suits.

As NME report, the band opened with ‘Holiday’ before including the likes of ‘The Look’ and breakthrough ‘Heartbreaker’ in the set.

Watch some crowd footage below.

Metronomy headlined this year’s Field Day in London, and head straight across to mainland Europe post-Glastonbury for a series of festival slots, before returning for T in the Park next month, and Reading and Leeds in August.
