METZ reveal new ‘Eraser’ video
The standalone new single has a quick-cutting, erratic clip to book.
METZ’s new single ‘Eraser’ is a shiver-inducing cut of fidgety punk paranoia, so it’s only fitting that its new accompanying video is every bit as frenetic. The clip - streaming below - quickly cuts between all manner of flashing, disorientating imagery. Everything from footage of the band themselves to a handsome dog and, er, a Martha Stewart mug gets an airing as the whirling track screeches above it all. ‘Eraser’ gets a vinyl release on Jan 22nd via Sub Pop/Three One G.The latest METZ full-length, ‘II’, picked up the full five stars from DIY upon release. In fact, we loved it so much we even made an excitable zine about how bloody great it was, in conjunction with the band’s drummer and talented pen-toter Hayden Menzies. More on that here, and catch up with the musical Upbringing of METZ here.
