Mew unveil new video for ‘Satellites’
The band have unveiled their new Casper Balslev-directed clip.
Last month, Mew set the hearts of many fanboys racing when they announced plans for their new album and now they’ve offered up a new video for good measure.
Accompanying their latest track ‘Satellites’ - the first to be debuted from their follow-up to 2009’s ‘No More Stories…’ - the clip comes directed by Casper Balslev and sees the band performing in a rather cavernous empty room. The devil is in the detail though, and the video isn’t as simple as you might first assume: the lighting works alongside the grandiose nature of the track itself to produce a rather impressive-looking effort.
‘Satellites’ gets taken from the band’s forthcoming new album, ‘+-‘, which is due for release on 27th April. The band also have a slew of UK and European shows scheduled, as follows.
MAY
17 Glasgow, O2 ABC
19 Manchester, The Ritz
20 London, Roundhouse
22 Paris, Fleche D’or
23 Amsterdam, Melkweg
25 Berlin, Lido
