MNEK has shared an acoustic video for ‘Paradise’

He revealed the full version of the new single last week.

Last week, British singer and producer MNEK returned with his latest single ‘Paradise’, which borrows a riff from Ultra Nite’s 1997 hit ‘Free’ and sees him pondering the better aspects of trying to find an escape from reality.

Speaking of the track, MNEK said: “Around the time I wrote ‘Paradise’, so much dance music was coming out and doing well with literally any 90s R&B song as the main topline, of the whole song. It really bothered me! So, I decided to sample a dance song for an R&B track. I’ve always loved ‘Free’ by Ultra Nate, so it was such an honour to have the blessing of the writers of the song to sample it for ‘Paradise’”.

Now MNEK has released an acoustic video that strips ‘Paradise’ back to its bare essentials. It’s a clip mainly comprised of close-ups of the singer, allowing the emotion that flows through his soulful voice to also be displayed in his heartfelt expressions.
