Mudhoney Announce New Album ‘Vanishing Point’

The record will be released via Sub Pop in April.

Mudhoney are to release a new album this spring.

In a post on their website, super US indie types Sub Pop announced they will issue the record, the band’s ninth full-length, on 2nd April (in the US - UK yet to be confirmed).

Titled ‘Vanishing Point’, the album was recorded over two weekends in April and September of this year in Seattle.

Speaking to SPIN about the record, the band’s Mark Arm explained they simply ‘amassed a pile of riffs and ideas, and I went through them and tried to come up with words that suited them’.

The album will be the follow-up to ‘The Lucky Ones’, released back in 2008. Documentary ‘I’m Now’, the story of the band, was released on 12th December this year, with ‘Live In Berlin’ - featuring a performance from the city’s Independent Days festival in 1988 - having been issued a month earlier.
