Mura Masa teams up with Christine and The Queens for ‘Second 2 None’
The producer releases his guest-filled debut next month.
Mura Masa releases his guest-studded debut album - which features Damon Albarn, Charli XCX, A$AP Rocky, and A.K Paul, among others - on July 14th, and ahead of that he’s shared a track featuring French pop superstar Christine and The Queens.
A sparse interweaving beat of muffled percussion, breathy artificial flutes and spaced-out parpy synths, Christine and The Queens takes the lead on vocals, and puts her stamp all over it, even when her distinctive voice disappears into heavily manipulated stutters.
Meanwhile, Héloïse Letissier told DIY last year that work is well underway on the follow-up to ‘Chaleur Humaine’. “You need a second verse,” she told us. “I’m actually plotting the next album, rubbing my hands together alone in my room, laughing creepily.”
