My New Band Believe drop intimate new offering ‘Love Story’
The debut album from Cameron Picton’s solo project is due to arrive on 10th April.

Having officially launched his new venture My New Band Believe last month - with the announcement of a self-titled debut album, out on 10th April via Rough Trade - Cameron Picton has now shared an LP preview in the form of ‘Love Story’.
The follow up to non-album single ‘Numerology’, this latest release is an unashamedly romantic, piano-led offering that combines hushed vocals and swelling strings to eulogise the tiny, ordinary details of a relationship.
“With this whole record, I was trying to make another case for how the modern singer-songwriter album could sound, both in terms of its production and the writing of the songs themselves,” Cameron has commented. “I felt some more popular examples of the genre released between 2019-2023 would make the big feel inconsequential and the small nothing at all, so with this I’ve tried to give consequence to the small to make the big feel real.”
You can find out more about what to expect from ‘My New Band Believe’ and watch the video for ‘Love Story’ below.
To mark the arrival of the LP, My New Band Believe will be touring the UK this Spring, playing both intimate in-store dates and headline shows proper; find their full live schedule below.
