Listen to a new Thom Yorke track, ‘Coloured Candy’
The track was written to soundtrack an event by fashion label Rag & Bone.
Despite rarely being seen in anything other than shirts, jeans and the occasional, admittedly snazzy hat, for the past few years Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has been soundtracking runway shows for American fashion label Rag & Bone, the unlikely fashionista!
His latest contribution is for their Spring/ Summer 2017 collection, and he’s called it ‘Coloured Candy.’ This isn’t a jolly number to soundtrack your trips to the beach next year, mind. The track is a ten-minute piece of ambling electronica with vocal effects like ‘OK Computer’s ‘Fitter Happier’ and lyrics lifted from ‘The Universal Sigh,’ the free newspaper that accompanied ‘The King of Limbs.’ Yeah, that title is just a little bit misleading…
‘Coloured Candy’ also has a pretty hypnotic animated video, which you can watch below.
