Nilüfer Yanya offers up latest single ‘Mutations’
The track gets taken from her forthcoming third album ‘My Method Actor’.

With her new album on the way next month, Nilüfer Yanya has now shared another of its tracks.
The Londoner has now shared her latest single ‘Mutations’, a mesmerising, percussive track inspired by the more subtle changes that happen in our every day lives. “‘Mutations’ deals with change brought about by circumstance,” the singer says of the song. “This is not the phoenix rising from the ashes but the subtle change that happens constantly as millions of tiny decisions and actions shape your being. It’s kind of like survival, for me. Less of a transformation and more something that’s born out of your environment and surroundings, that you need to do to survive. Mutation is just something you have to go through- you have to evolve.”
The track gets lifted from her forthcoming third album ‘My Method Actor’, which is due for release on 13th September via Ninja Tune. It’ll follow on from 2022’s ‘PAINLESS’, and is set to thematically explore notions of transition, evolution, and growth.
Alongside the new single, Nilüfer has also shared an accompanying video, as directed by her sister, Molly Daniel, on the streets and beaches of Spain. Check out the video below.
