No Devotion showcase new video for ‘Addition’

The band release their debut album ‘Permanence’ on 25th September.

No Devotion are gearing up to release their debut album next month and now, ahead of it, they’ve revealed their new video for ‘Addition’.

Accompanying the first single set to be released from their first record ‘Permanence’, the video sees frontman Geoff Rickly (and his presumably fictional love interest) barraged with waves of water whilst the song’s weighty lyrical statements are projected across his image.

Speaking of the track itself, Rickly has said: “This was the first song we wrote together. This vocal take is actually the one that we recorded in Stu’s bedroom in LA about 25 minutes after they picked me up at the airport. We didn’t have a name or record deal – we hadn’t even decided whether or not we were a band – but the magic just immediately started to click between us.”

The track gets taken from the quintet’s debut full-length ‘Permanence’, which is due for release on 25th September through Collect Records. Their new album was produced by the band’s own Stuart Richardson alongside Alex Newport, before being mixed by David Fridmann. Recorded predominantly in Brooklyn, NY, the album boasts eleven tracks which include their previously-released songs. ‘Addition’ sits pretty as the not-quite-final track, ahead of album closer ‘Grand Central’.
