Novelist and Django Django’s Dave Maclean join London Mayor’s new music programme CirKT

They’re currently on the hunt for talented up-and-coming London musicians

The Mayor Of London has today (June 26th) launched a new music programme called ‘CirKT’, which offers live music opportunities to artists in Kingston, South West London.

Kingston was recently awarded The Mayor of London’s Cultural Impact Award, which is now followed by a call out for new artists who could be offered “once in a lifetime professional development, networking support and performance opportunities”. Three acts also have “the chance” to receive a bursary of £500.

Successful applicants will have their music heard by a panel of industry figures, including Django Django’s Dave Maclean, Novelist, journalist Chantelle Fiddy and Field Day founder Tom Baker.

The four month programme begins in August, and promises “a dedicated, packed live music programme, re-igniting a love for nightlife and a passion for live music across this part of London.”

The call out for new talent begins today, with a deadline of August 18th. To apply, and find the full listings for CirKT’s events, click here.
