Watch Oh Sees get animated in their ‘Drowned Beast’ video
The vibrant new video for the ‘Orc’ cut is directed by Dr D Foothead.
Oh Sees (formerly known as Thee Oh Sees) changed their name back to an earlier incarnation, OCS, for their new album ‘Memory Of A Cut Off Head’.
They’re reclaiming their Oh Sees moniker for their new video though. ‘Drowned Beast’ comes from their album ‘Orc’, which they released back in August, and it’s now got a new video courtesy of Dr D Foothead for Adult Swim. It’s a super vibrant animated clip that takes the viewer on a technicolour, psychedelic adventure.
As reported by Stereogum, John Dwyer said: “I wrote this song mostly in the studio and it was, in my mind, about the insatiable hunger of mankind, but sort of bent in this weird fantastical way […] I always love working with Dr Foothead because his take is always coming from some other world, as is evident in this far out animation”.
Oh Sees also got animated for their video for ‘Nite Expo’ on Halloween.
