Olivia Rodrigo crowned princess of Versailles in video for returning single ‘drop dead’
The stunning visualiser was shot on location in the iconic French palace.

Olivia Rodrigo has ended fans’ wait for new music in spectacular fashion, having just released ‘drop dead’ - the first single from her hugely-anticipated third album, and track which comes accompanied by an instantly-iconic video shot in and around the opulent Palace of Versailles.
Directed by Petra Collins, the visualiser is part teenage fantasy, part pop royalty, as Olivia runs through the decadent confines of the French landmark, clutching wired headphones to her ears à la Princess Diaries as she’s consumed by obsessive thoughts of her dream crush.
Due to hit shelves on 12th June, OlRod’s new LP - entitled ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ - will be the awaited successor to 2023’s ‘GUTS’, and comes in the wake of a raft of milestone achievements including 14 GRAMMY nominations, topping charts around the world, and a turn headlining Glastonbury last year (with Robert Smith in tow, no less - The Cure even get a shout out in the lyrics for ‘drop dead’!).
