Olivia Rodrigo unveils release date for third album ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’
OlRod summer, here we come…

The wait is over! Olivia Rodrigo has officially announced that her third LP will arrive on 12th June via Geffen Records - and, what’s more, she’s also confirmed its *very* intriguing title: ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’.
Taking to Instagram to share the news (after deleting everything on her grid earlier this week), OlRod posted the new record’s album cover - a photo of her gleefully swinging upside down in front of a blue sky backdrop - with the caption: “I am so proud of this record and I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
The stylisation is a break in tradition for the pop superstar, whose previous two albums - 2021’s ‘SOUR’ and 2023’s ‘GUTS’ - have both been characterised by her signature purple palette and mononymic, capitalised titles.
Recorded with producer Daniel Nigro (who was also behind the mixing desk on both ‘SOUR’ and ‘GUTS’), ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love’ marks the start of a new era for an artist who, at only 23, has already topped the charts, scooped GRAMMY nods galore, and even headlined Glastonbury, finding famous fans in the likes of Robert Smith and David Byrne along the way.
