Orla Gartland announces debut album ‘Woman on the Internet’
The Dublin singer-songwriter has also shared her new track ‘Do You Mind?’
Dublin singer songwriter Orla Gartland has announced details of her debut album, ‘Woman On The Internet’.
Her first full-length - which follows on from her EPs ‘Why Am I Like This?’ and ‘Freckle Season’ - is due for release on 20th August via her own label New Friends. It’s set to feature previous tracks ‘Zombie!’ and ‘More Like You’, as well as her brand new song ‘Do You Mind?’, which she’s shared today.
“Announcing my debut album feels like a moment I’ve been waiting for for years,” Orla has said, of revealing the news. “Something clicked into place last year - I grew into my role as a producer and lyrically I knew what I wanted to say. Although this album was made in 2020 it isn’t laced with lockdown blues - it feels more like the soundtrack of new time to me; a sunnier time, a more hopeful time. I’m so proud of this record and beyond excited for everyone to hear it!”
The tracklisting for the record is as follows.
Things I’ve Learned
You’re Not Special, Babe
More Like You
Over Your Head
Zombie!
Madison
Do You Mind?
Codependency
Pretending
Left Behind
Bloodline/Difficult Things
And that’s not all: Orla’s also announced plans for a run of UK and Ireland headline shows - tickets for which go on general sale on Monday (14th June) at 10am.
