The Ivors announce 2025 award winners including Charli xcx, Lola Young and BERWYN
The prestigious awards honour songwriting and screen composition.

The winners of The Ivors have been announced! The awards, which celebrate this year’s best achievements in songwriting and screen composition, have revealed that iconic artists such as Charli xcx, Lola Young and BERWYN are among the 2025 winners.
The 70th ceremony - which took place at Grosvenor House, London - saw ‘BRAT”s Charli xcx honoured with the Songwriter of the Year Award for her work on the aforementioned hit album. Meanwhile, Lola Young was chosen for the Rising Star Award with Amazon Music, owing to her successful single ‘Messy’, and BERWYN scooped his first Ivor for 2024’s ‘WHO AM I’, which was named Best Album.
During the evening, Robbie Williams was honoured with the PRS for Music Icon award, while U2 were presented with a fellowship of the Academy by Ed Sheeran. Brandon Flowers was also given the Special International Award, which was presented to him by Fellow of The Ivors Academy, Bruce Springsteen.
Other winners included the likes of Orla Gartland (who won Best Song Musically and Lyrically for ‘Mine’), Self Esteem (who won the Visionary Award with Amazon Music), and Sans Soucis (who scooped up Best Contemporary Song for their track ‘Circumnavigating Georgia’).
