Orlando Weeks announces ‘The Gritterman’ live show
The former Maccabees man is heading to London’s Union Chapel in December.

Former Maccabees man Orlando Weeks recently released his first illustrated book, ‘The Gritterman’, alongside a companion album.
Now, he’s announced plans to recreate the whole album live, with narration coming from actor and comedian Paul Whitehouse as the eponymous Gritterman! The performance, which also features a full band and choir, will be headed to London’s Union Chapel on 12th December.
Speaking of his collaboration with Whitehouse at the time of the book’s announcement, Orlando said: “The Gritterman is kindly and light-hearted but stoic at the same time and Paul was able to strike that balance perfectly. Funny but thoughtful. He’s been a joy to work with”.
Tickets for the date will go on general sale from 10am on Friday 13th October.
We recently caught up with Orlando to talk all about ‘The Gritterman’ and venturing out on his first post-band venture. Catch up here.
