Osquello teams up with Desta French for ‘Back Home’

The magnetic track is all about “connecting to your roots”.

Leeds-via-London rapper Osquello teams up with fast-rising Colombian/Italian RnB artist Desta French for mesmerising new number ‘Back Home’.

In Osquello’s own words, “The song is about connecting to your roots and wondering if that all along, when racist nationalists England would tell you to go “back where you came from” or “back home”, is it actually for the best? Maybe wherever our roots resign, and our people are where our home is. The meaning of home is often vaguely described, and this song was an exploration as to what home really means. At the same time, I think it translates heavily to anyone on the way home after a long night out trying to realise who they truly are.”

“The song to me is about getting out of the city… the rat race, the confusion, the distractions, all the things get in the way of you connecting with who you truly are and what’s really important,” Desta adds.
