Palace cover Jamie xx’s ‘Loud Places’
The ‘In Colour’ banger is given a sombre re-work.
Jamie xx and Romy’s ‘Loud Places’ was already one of the most sombre cuts on ‘In Colour’, but Palace have now shared a new cover of the track which takes it to new, gloomy depths.
The re-work, which the band have posted on their Soundcloud page just “for fun”, reaches complete euphoria in its chorus, with swirling guitar lines a-plenty.
Palace released their latest record, EP ‘Chase The Light’, back in June, and are currently mid-way through a UK tour promoting it. The band play Bristol’s Louisiana tonight (20th October), and play a huge London headline date at the Scala on Thursday (22nd).
