Peluché live in ‘Sin’ with progressive new single

South London trio blend dub and IRL-tales into a gorgeous snapshot of reality.

South London’s Peluché are a trio of multi-instrumentalists, giving nods to jazz and dub in their progressive new single, ‘Sin’. Whether they’re chanting “rude boy!” in crazed unison or shifting notes and sections like it’s an old-fashioned hobby, the three-piece share one common goal - to sound like nothing else on the planet.

‘Sin’ is a brilliantly deranged introduction. It begins with one foot in planet earth, documenting the struggle of a penniless existence in the capital. “Mama says we’re living in sin,” they sing, “feed your belly - don’t buy trainers”. But as the track progresses, IRL stories are traded for berserk, non-sensical chat, all semblance of reality being chucked to one side. It’s the sound of a mind unravelling, loosening up into gorgeous nothingness.

Peluché’s new single is out 6th April - it’s premiering on DIY below. They headline London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on 26th March (tickets).
