Porij get in the mood for summer with new single ‘I’m Your Lover (Only)’

Electronic quartet Porij have returned with their first new music of 2025, and it’s a suitably sun-drenched track titled ‘I’m Your Lover (Only)’.

This offering marks their newest material since the release of their debut album ‘Teething’, which came out last April, and its follow-up single, ‘Stranger’, which featured Elkka and landed last June. Perfectly-timed for summer, the track’s warm hues evoke memories of hazy days abroad and late nights clubbing, while the song itself is - according to frontperson Egg - “about accidentally falling in love. You can’t always pick when it happens and this is about leaning in, going with the flow and enjoying it for what it is without overthinking.”

To match the summer vibes, the video for the track was also filmed in Ibiza, after the song was originally (and rather aptly) nicknamed ‘Beefa’. “Jacob came up with the original piano and drum hook for the chorus and called it ‘Beefa’ on a Soundcloud demo,” the band explain. “So for the video we thought it would be rude not to go on a spontaneous 48-hour trip to Ibiza, where we filmed in a quiet villa tucked away in the north of the island, followed by a little bit of partying in Amnesia for Bicep’s Boiler Room, which was slightly less quiet…  

“Conception inspiration definitely came from a ‘Kevin & Perry’ vibe - think heading off on your first holiday with mates and all the antics that come with it. Sun-soaked days by the pool, cheeky bevs and tunes to die for.”
