Premiere: Listen: Lazyboy Stream New Single ‘Pica Disco’

Lazyboy - the project of Rob Da Bank and Dan Carey - is, on paper, a something built on spare time. Empty spaces in the pair’s diaries are filled with studio sessions between the two. By that count, this probably isn’t going to be the focus of either musician/fest curator/DJ/goodness knows what else’s creative outputs. But on the basis of ‘Pica Disco’, something special’s afoot.

Coming off like a DFA studio being built in a Moroccan temple, this sharp-angled single is a wildly spirited effort, leaning towards countless genres in one fatal, four-minute piece, all backed by sweeping strings courtesy of Carey’s production knowhow.
