Premiere: Listen: Qtier Unveil New Track, ‘Set Me On’
London duo reach a soulful, electronic R&B peak on their new single and best track to date.

The ascent of Qtier has been a little like their own songs; steady, gradual and guaranteed to reach a peak. The pair of Adam Pless and producer Howard Whiddett check into the moody, soulful R&B hotel that’s largely over-subscribed, but they bring something new to the equation with ‘Set Me On’, a simple-as-it-gets pop hook being coated in gorgeous darkness.
‘Set Me On’ follows on from 2013 EP ‘The Cards’, and in the time they’ve been away, Pless and Whiddett have honed in their technique, given more of a spotlight to looming melody. In part defined by a Knife, ‘Silent Shout’-era darkness, there’s also sweet hope at the end of the tunnel. It’s their best track to date.
The single’s released on 2nd June. Catch the band playing London Koko on 24th May.
