Premiere: Watch: Spring King Shares ‘Heat Of The Summer’ Video
Manchester’s Tarek Musa plays out his unlikely ballad in a beautiful setting.

Manchester’s Spring King aren’t ones to get pegged in by any ‘lo-fi’ tags. Tarek Musa is a producer himself, putting his name to Jethro Fox (another piano balladry specialist), among others.
Musa’s unlikely ballad ‘Heat of the Summer’ defies the looned, psychedelic scuzz of his debut 10-track ‘In All This Murk and Dirt’ release. A sullen, forlorn swansong; it’s a sweet piano-led close to a release that defines itself on more amped-up guitar-led leanings.
DIY’s delighted to have the premier of ‘Heat of the Summer”s gorgeous accompanying video. Showing Musa in his home studio, it’s a sweet, illuminating match to the song itself. Jodie Canwell directs.
