Premiere: Watch The Acid Play ‘Fame’ At London Chat’s Palace

Watch exclusive footage of the elusive trio making their live debut.

Exciting electronic trio The Acid are one hell of a force live - given that they’ve only one gig under their belt, that might be an overstatement. But on a live debut at London Chat’s Palace last month they gave good on big ambitious intentions.

Ry X, Adam Freeland and Steve Nalepa spent months rehearsing the material from debut album ‘Liminal’, and on its grand unveiling, their first gig showcased visuals that spontaneously evolved in line with the music.

‘We took what we did on the record and chopped it all up,’ explains Ry of the process to DIY. ‘Everything’s being played live but we’re still recreating the same stuff, apart from the analog aspects. There’s not a single beat coming out of the computer.

‘For me, when playing live I’m used to dictating the flow. It’s about having that ability for us and me personally to slow something down. You’re responding to a room, to human beings and hearts there.’

We’ve got exclusive footage of The Acid’s live show coming to life at London Chat’s Palace on 31st March, backed by the fantastic ‘Fame’. They return for a handful of European dates this June - see below the player.

‘Liminal’ is out 7th July via Infectious Music.
