Pumarosa lift the lid on ‘Priestess’ video
Heavily hyped group’s stunning new single gets a beautifully choreographed clip.
Debut single ‘Priestess’ marked Pumarosa out as something special from the off - pegging the band as an undoubted breakthrough as 2016 comes a-knocking. Hot off the back of a whistle-stop tour with Gengahr, the track’s accompanying video, released today, looks set to continue that upwards ascent.
Elegantly choreographed contemporary dance sits atop the band’s flickering pulse and hypnotising demands that “you dance, you dance”. It all frames the track as a potential left-field dancefloor filler; the type of rhythmic concoction that’s destined to break free of blog hype and find traction in real-world venues across the globe.
DIY picked Pumarosa out as a band to watch this month alongside the likes of Trudy, Day Wave and Grace Acladna, and we’re kicking off next year with the band playing one of our Hello 2016 shows at London’s The Old Blue Last - you won’t want to miss ‘em. Watch the ‘Priestess’ video below and get learning the routine in time for January.
