PUP’s video for ‘Sleep in the Heat’ is a tribute to man’s best friend
It once again stars Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard as a young Stefan Babcock.
Following the release of joyous album ‘The Dream Is Over’ earlier in the year, PUP have shared a heart-warming video for ‘Sleep In The Heat.’
The track itself actually has a pretty sad backstory, with singer and guitarist Stefan Babcock saying that it’s “a song about my chameleon Norman, who passed away while we were writing this record.” You may remember Norman for his starring role in ‘Mabu,’ and he even has a brief cameo role in ‘Sleep In The Heat’ alongside some of the band’s other four legged friends.
The pets star alongside Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, reprising his role as a young Stefan (remember ‘Guilt Trip’?) Together with the rest of PUP, they go on a road trip but things take a bit of a heartbreaking twist when they encounter a loveable mutt. Let’s just say that if you cried at the end of ‘Marley & Me,’ look away now.
Watch the video for ‘Sleep in the Heat’ and see their upcoming tour dates as special guests of The Wonder Years below. Read our interview with PUP from earlier in the year here.
