It’s official: Queens of the Stone Age are the first band to be confirmed for next year’s Mad Cool Festival.
The event, which will take place at the new venue of Madrid’s Valdebebas – IFEMA, will run from 12th to 14th July 2018 and will see the ‘Villians’ quintet return to the city for the first in almost a decade.
At next year’s event, the fest will be expanding to include seven stages and will up its capacity to 80,000. Next year’s event will also include a Mad Cool Gallery and Mad Cool Design Market, ooh-er.
2018 will mark the third year for the Spanish weekender, which played host to the likes of Foo Fighters, Green Day, Kings of Leon, alt-J and Savages this summer.
Mad Cool will also be hosting a special event at KOKO in London this evening with sets from Monarchy and Haux - for more information on that, head here.
DIY will, once again, be joining Mad Cool Festival for the event as media partners, so keep your eyes peeled for news, previews and reports in the lead up to the event.
